Hey all,

who can help me get my hands on the new Specialized TT/aero helmet. The ones currently used in the Tour? Not the model Peter Reid used in Hawai in 2005. I want to use the helmet during Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Clearwater. Plz PM me if your local bikes store sells them or post general info here. Thanks

I think you have to be in the tour for those. I don't think they sell them.

Maybe I should ask the Astana's if they can give their helmets to me. They don't need em anymore.
But some pro triathletes have them too.
Joanna Lawn, Terrenzo Bozzone etc.

I'll bet all the helmets are claimed already, but I heard that Nashbar has Astana jerseys on clearance now :D

I know that Terenzo's sponsored by Specialized, but I don't know about Joanna. It'd be nice to have, though.....the helmets are pretty sick! My LBS is a pretty big Specialized dealer, and the aero helmets they sell are Giro. Almost everything they push is Specialized, so I'm pretty sure they don't sell the helmets in the states. Over on your side of the pond might be a different story, though...I just assumed that since Specialized was an American company that they'd make all their helmets to American certification standards, which leads me to believe that the helmets aren't for sale to anyone :(

Yeah I know about Terenzo and Specialized, we met up in 2006 when we both raced Clearwater, he PRO me AG. We kept in touch ever since. I'm being sponsored by Specialized too (specialized Europe) it's tough to get the TT helmet I guess, doesn't matter where you live.

That's a pretty big sponsor, bro....congrats! Maybe you could ask them about getting a helmet? If they give you one, you might as well ask for a second and ship it to Florida! ;)

Don't worry I'll hook you all up. I need places to stay in Florida and Arizona especially Tuscon near mt.Lemon. Specialized is a pretty good sponsor yeah. They only sponsor me in small stuff. No new carbon Transition frames being thrown my way (yet), but tires, helmet, tri shoes and stuff, Iget those pretty cheap. But that helmet isn't available here, so thats why I neede some help. Ow **** now I have to say that Brooks runnning shoes kick ass too and that I only ride my Specialized fast, because my FFWD wheel RULE.

there, I sold out.
