Bike travel case
I'm using TriBikeTransport for IMKY and it's AWESOME not to have the stress of packing up 2 bikes along with all the other junk we have to haul to the airport (2 of us racing). It also made it an option to get airport rides (although our flight times stopped that) since any car can fit us and what we'll have with us.
TBT is $225 roundtrip for each of us -- money I think is well-spent: no hassle, no $50-120 each way for flying bikes, no stress of getting the bikes from the airport to the hotel, etc.
Of course, I'll know more in a week once my experience with them is completed. But they were very helpful so far (we added additional insurance after making our reservation to account for different race wheels).
Cool site that TriBikeTransport too bad they arn't offering shipping to my race, though Hawaii 70.3 would be big enough for that sadly guess not =(

Yeah I think they mainly do IMs. Also, they move the bikes in trucks, so I'd think any of the races that involve crossing lots of water would be harder for 'em ;)
Thanks for the input. It sounds like a win-win situation. I just hope there are enough reservations out of my LBS to make sure they will be available. Thanks again.

I'm planning on flying to IMAZ in '08, and I was wondering whether I would be better traveling with my bike in a bike case or using a shipping service that will pick up my bike at my lbs. I'm flying from MI, and I was wondering what everyone would recommend. Thanks.
