Last year my "what have i got myself into" moment was when I was reading the Run Course and Rules section of the Athlete guide and the number one rule is - No other form of locomotion other than running, walking or crawling is allowed. Yikes! :eek:

Tend to be pretty lenient on that - at least they didn't DQ Golnick when she did cartwheels across the line or Blazeman when he rolled across the line. Not sure that the Ironman shuffle that you see out on course is either running or walking, So you should be safe to enjoy your run!

But remember: the public nudity rule is separate. Flashing the finish line is not allowed... even if you are using an accepted mode of moving along the finish chute!

FYI that was my way of telling all of you that I'll be catching your corpse at the finish line. Be sure to say Hi because I will be wearing my trifuel visor.
And the first race I ever won my AG I did a cartwheel across the line and the RD came up to me afterwards and was all upset. I honestly thought he was joking.

The flashing was (mostly) a joke... it all started on runs where that was sometimes how Mike would say "goodbye I'm going to run faster now" after we started together... and the fateful day I flashed (my sports bra) back at him... and some guy across the street thought he'd had a show (it was dusk and hard to see).
