Hi All,

I’m a newbie from Omaha, NE. I’ve been lurking about for some time now, and just completed my first Olympic last weekend (Turtleman Tri – Shoreview, MN) along with my girlfriend and some of her family. I LOVE IT! I made so many mistakes, and was about 5 mins short of my goal, but still had such a good time! The training is great too - free therapy.

I’d like to thank all the experienced athletes here for the sage advice; it definitely made my day go a lot smoother.

I'm looking forward to my next race, and to talking a little shop with you all.

Steve

Welcome to trifuel and congratulations on the first tri-- 5mins off your goal ain't too shabby. Next race, piece of cake, it's all about learning and the therapy, you'll be 5 mins under on the next one.

Good luck!

Hey Congrats!!!

WOW, all the way from Omaha, cool! Not sure what your travel time was, but I only had to travel 30 minutes to get there. Turtleman is a great race, but sometime it does get hot! Don't worry about your time, you'll get better, just make sure to learn from your mistakes...

That's a good question. Right now it is a short duathlon on October 7. But I'm looking for something in Sept. and beyond.
