Dude, you're not supposed to break derailleurs in races- you dave that for practice! Sub 3:00 with a frozen RD for 5 miles aint bad! Kinda reminds me of my first tri ever, when my non drive side pedal stripped out at the 2 mile mark. That was a fun one legged ride.

If you look at about 2:58, you'll see what I look like when my derailleur breaks and I have to pedal the last 5 miles in the small chainring!:p
