Yeah, I heard about that! It's already on the "most likely" schedule for next year as Mike's family is there :)

This one is not far from home! But there's still no Aquabike! *sigh*

You could always just make it an aquabike... or since it's just in planning stages now send off an email to the race, express your desire to race it as an aqua, and see if they can add it. You never know what a good story will make someone do.

Here's the answer I got:
Sorry, the muskoka race is going to fill up, and at max capacity the roads will be too full to accommodate another other events such as a duathon, Aquabike or shorter course races.

Very sad...Last year, I wrote to the different organizers in the area, and I did it this year as well...It seems like the demand is not high enough just yet. This is the first time I get a reply from one of them. Not the type of reply I would have like to see, but at least they replied...
:(

Well I'm glad they replied!

You could always sign up for a full and just not do the run, but it makes it kinda expensive, and officially leaves you as a DNF :(

Mike and I are signed up.

I don't think I would like to DNF unless I really have to. I'll probably sign up for an Half Iron by the only organization that does Aquabike races in Ontario so far. I would have loved it to be a 70.3, but oh well... Some day, maybe...I might go and cheer for you two! Maybe I'll volunteer. It'd be great to meet you there!

That makes sense... at least there are some near you that do allow it!

And if you make it out, that would be fun! We might be up in that area before then as well, but I don't know yet. I will let you know if I will be :)
