I was wondering if anyone had experienced anjke pain when running. I realize that's pretty vague but I haven't had ankle pain before, minus the pretty gnarly ankle spains I had in high school, and had no problems during my marathon training during summer of 2006. It recently started acting up around the interior of my ankle. My ankles are not the strongest and my totally flexible ligaments allow me to roll my ankle in the harshest of ways and recover in seconds.
I'm sure I should seek a podiatrist or a specialized ortho but I just wanted input from the tri community first. Could something such as orthrotics fix this problem? Maybe my stride has kind of evolved for the worse? Any ankle ancedotes would be appreciated, especially if it involves a cure. Thanks!
