Ironman USA 2007
Great blog 1st installment. The swim sounded brutal, kind of like water roller derby... can't wait for the next entry.

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
Congrats Sheila
It's always interesting what you don't remember from the course. Really they had names for hills after the out and back? I remember seeing chalked cherries on the course, but didn't know they were the name of the hills. I really don't remember anything worthy of the name heartbreak hill...
Thank you so much Sheila, you are always so nice to share your knowledge and experience.
I really enjoyed the first part of your report, looking forward to read the rest.

I'll post the really short version here, and then if you want to read the excrutiating detail (which apparently a lot of people want to do), please go to my blog. So far, I'm posted through the swim and T1.
What it doesn't say below is that this was my 2nd fastest Ironman, and I was 7th in my age group, and I hope I can improve on that placing next year.
