New Specialized Transition - can of worms
I'm not a big Specialized roadie bike fan to begin with, but that new Transition is FUGLY. It's like the P3C, the Oreba Ordu, and the Specialized Tarmac got together to make the uglies bike possible. Ugh.
The P3C is nice and clean, it looks slippery. The Specialized does not.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
It looks like when Williams BMW tried to make a radically new Formula 1 car and it was a junker.
And whats with the proprietary brakes?
Do you want to be fast or look pretty kids?
I'm sure it's a fast bike and all, way better than I need. It's just that every time I see it I think of the bike from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.

If it really were the high-end bike that fit me best, and I were in the market to buy, I'd choose it. But only after trying every fit option imaginable on a P3C, TTX, Felt DA, etc.
I hadn't seen the prices yet....they're way more competitive than I thought they'd be. I was expecting about $1k more at each level.
Retail Prices:
S-Works Transition $7000
Transition Pro $4000
Transition Expert $3000
Transition Comp $2500
And I think it looks cool.

Not fast enough.

Maybe it's just me (it usually is), but it seems more bikes are starting to look like the Cervelo P3C. MaCormack's new ride (insidetri.com/portal/news/news.asp?item=109219) has some differences, but damn it sure looks like another P3C with some small changes to make it seem different enough.
Fit should be the ultimate factor in deciding on a bike, but here's another bike that, everything being equal, I'd still take the P3C. No contest.
