cevelo soloist
The soloist works really well for a converted road bike. My old roommate won collegiate nationals on a converted aluminum soloist. He had a profile base bar on it, but it's not going to slow you down much by not having one. You can get them for well under $100, though. It won't save you more than a handful of seconds, so it's really up to you to decide if it's worth it.

Not fast enough.
will a bike shop let you try out a few different bar set ups on your own bike before you buy?
yeah they should, just bring your bike in and ask if you can put it on a trainer and they should be cool with that
The soloist is probably one of the best all round bikes imho - you don't need to switch out the base bar - just get some clip ons and use the forward seat post position - if your fit is right it should be more than sufficient and steeper than the P2SL in slack position.

I know this kinda question gets asked all the time but here goes:
I bought a cervelo soloist (aluminum) as my first bike and wondering if its worth it to convert it to a try bike? The seat tube can flip around to move you more forward but is it enough? In addition would you just put on bolt on tri bars or replace the whole bar?
Let me know
