Rasmussen is GONE.

WOW... just legalize it.
Here is my take on things ... those Dope positive test are being conducted
in a french lab hence that just ADDS more suspicions.
You all know damn sure well if a french rider in yellow had a pos A sample
it would be disregarded and destroyed to never make the headline pages of
L'Equipe !
damn those FRENCH.
I have been thinking about this long and hard and I believe I have come up
with a viable solution that will virtually eliminate any suspicion or
anger
over doping in the Tour day France (say it like an American; say it like
Bob Roll).
1. Any performance enhancing drug is allowed for a French rider
2. No testing required for any French rider
3. Ten minute head start to the French riders
4. Each foreign rider will carry a razor blade to slash their own tires if
ahead of the French
Imagine how the pride of France will be lifted by finally having one of
their own win their nation's race. They may even start to believe the race
competition actually matters in the world, or that France is a world
power!
They may even forgive and forget Landis, Vinokourov, and possibly
Armstrong.

They have to win something first.

Not fast enough.
I so knew that was going to happen. He time trial was almost as good as Vino's (for a skinny climber). This sucks but at least Contador (fingers crossed he's o.k. which I think he might be since he cracked today) and Levi can both podium. However, this kinda ruins the tour because tactics and turnouts are all due to his climbing this last week. Riders laid it all on the line to dig into his lead and that caused several to crack. Would have been different perhaps if he was crushing the pace on the climbs...
WOW... just legalize it.
.l.
Ultimately the sponsors decide with their checkbooks.
It looks bad for the sponsor if riders start dropping like flies, and if you legalize everything, just toss out the rule book, that is probably what will happen.
It's been 40 years since Tommie Simpson dropped dead because his heart blew up on amphetamines. Peugeot doesn't want any more riders photographed dead with the Peugeot name on their chests.
Naw, you gotta try to regulate it. It's best all round.
I'm sure the riders don't want to have to use drugs just because "everybody else" is perceived to be doing it.
I get antsy if I have too much coffee and my heart gets racing too fast, drugs scare me. Of course, nobody is offering me a million dollars if I win the TdF.

Whoa, that's interesting. That could make the teams a little more open to internal doping programs like Slipstream.
Wow that would be interesting!
I really believed this was going to be a clean year! Damn!!!
Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)
Severe penalties will help - but once the clean riders get angry and help police the sport then it will get better.

Hit the teams, the managers, the riders AND the sponsors in the pocketbook...That would help.

This sport is unreal the amount of doping going on. I thought it was huge news when vino dropped...
Tour de What?
I am looking forward to the Tour of California.
Maybe they should make sure everybody takes drugs, and lots of them, everyday.
Then lets see who is still alive to cross the finish line.
Then I can win on my mountain bike, with flat tires, because I'll be clean and everybody will have OD'd
