Anton - rants? who da thunk it? ;)
Nice report - Congrats on another IM FINISH!

Hey, Anton--it was nice seeing you out there, and thanks for the shout out on your blog. I didn't know it got THAT hot, but after the race I realized I was a bit sunburned on the arms and maybe my face--a spectator comments about my nice "lip gloss," and I looked at him like wtf?? Then I realized my lips must be a bit burnt, too :)
Sorry you had nutritional issues, but congrats on another IM finish and good luck at your double IM, you crazy man!
Congrats Anton... and best of luck one a double! Good thing you got some "in the dark" practice :p
Cool report, big congratulations. Also, take it from someone who's been there, those glow-sticks are way overrated.
Hey Anton! CONGRATS on what, your third IMPL? How many other IM's have YOU done??? Hahaha-that's a joke ;) I guess the IM humbles us all at least once a race, right? Or over and over...
Anyway, great report. I love your attitude about the IM...probably because its similar to mine. I chat with other people, stop to talk with my family, enjoy the scenery and really take it all in. We work so hard for that one moment in time...why not enjoy it? So CONGRATS again and again and may Lady Luck be with you in the double (PS: you ARE nuts!).

Anton IS pretty nuts ;) I can't even imagine doing a "single" much less a double...shoulda seen this guy at the finish - all cheerful and energetic - you'd think he'd just finished a 10K. I guess that's how you have to be if you're going to even think about a double.
Sorry I didn't see you Kona and jeslol - congratulations on your races though. I look forward to hearing more about them.
There was another Trifueler there - a 22 year old guy. I don't know who he was, but I got him on tape. I think he finished in the 12-13 hour range. Anyway, I'll post some race footage here as soon as I have time to get it off my camera.
Nice report , Anton. Congratulations on yet another great day doing tri thing.

I don't need to get faster, I just need to get older!
Nice Job Anton!!
Just a warm up for the double.
See you in a couple of weeks. :D
Good work.
Congrats Anton...I was also dissapointed with not getting a glow stick. A random sampling of people got them. It was rather dark when I was out there and no stick.
Congratulations on another IM! And good luck in the double.....

QUOTE]Wow fitty, any plans on being in Madison Sept 9? If any of the guys had hair on their legs before they got to you, they sure didn't have it afterwards.
That's what I call strippin' suits.

Helping out there was a blast! I learned some interesting lessons about wetsuit stripping that ought to come in handy next time I volunteer or get my wetsuit stripped:
- 1) you'll get soaking wet after pulling a few suits off
- 2) it's very tiring
- 3) a lone stripper can pull suits off faster than two working together, provided the lone stripper is not puny
- 4) if the athlete doesn't have the arms off yet when he/she reaches a stripper, more often than not, he/she will only get in the way by trying to help the stripper get them off their hands, so it's usually best to just stand there and let the stripper pull them off
- 5) it's better to run through the gauntlet than to run behind the row of strippers - I clocked a middle aged guy in the jaw with my left elbow when I was yanking someone's suit off
- 6) it's best not to lie down in the middle of the path if you can help it - I saw one guy get kicked in the head and another dude tripped over someone, nearly causing a massive pileup - some of this can be avoided if the volunteers are on the ball
that was fun fitty! Man I still tear up even in the first few seconds. hahahaha I'm such a girl :)
Oooh I think I found the unid'ed trifueler! Blake! (http://trifuel.com/forums/showthread.php?p=74304).
Fitty...Thanks for the you tube views! Man! That second clip of me walking up that very slight hill...I didn't even hear you! More like Anton's Lowlights! I MUST have been out of it! Thanks again...nice to see me finish in the Kilt!

I get the same way - real emotional about this stuff - not sure why. Anyway, the videos I've posted are the ones most relevant to the Trifuel community, but I'll be uploading other pre-race and during-race IMLP clips soon at www.youtube.com/ryanfitt
Nice video coverage.
Anton, you were looking pretty strong,
Probably smelling strong at the end too :D
Way to go Anton! looking strong!
Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)

Well...here is my take. Will post more later including numbers and a few rants.

Thanks for all the kind words before and after the race and a big thanks to fitty for just being a happy face at the finish...
