Ok Yall,
I've signed up for a 'long' course Duathlon next month, 3mi/56mi/13.1mi. I typically race the Olympic Distance (5K/40K/10K), my typical racing speed on the bike is 19mph or so, training rides are in the 19.5-20 mph range.
I'm fueling using Hammer Nutrition Products, both for calories and electrolytes, and I haven't had problems with my stomach even on long training rides. Packing enough calories into two water bottles isn't a problem, and I plan on carrying 3-4 bottles, so I can be self-contained, and not rely on the feed station, except for water.
What are the big differences I can expect in making the 'jump' to the longer distance?
