ksyriums are good. They will make a good race/training wheels and if and when you step up to race wheels you can still use them as training wheels. You can probably find a good used set for 350 or 400.

^^^I don't know, man, I'm gonna have to disagree here. For $400 used, I'm assuming you're talking about SLs. I think you can train just as well on Aksiums or Equipes, which are going to be about half that price. As for racing, they're about the least aero wheel you can get. I have some for crits and RRs, and they're great for those b/c they're crazy stiff and moderately light, but I'd want to get something more aero for tris. You can probably find used Carbones pretty cheap, and they're bombproof. Just don't to climb with them.

Mavic cosmic Elite are nice, they look good ok.
