It was 17 June 2007 (father's Day) and I was out on North Loop completing a 42 mile ride on my Quintana Roo Lucero and someone turnrd the lights out on your boy:eek: I was training for 1/2 IM Cancun 24 Sep, when some dumb sh*% hit me going 40mph, and projected me over 15 feet (thank God for my Giro helmet ). My $3k bike totaled, me I had to have reconstuctive surgery on my left wrist with plates, pins, and a rod, my right fore arm 2 displaced fractures, and more road rash than the Tour De France wreck in Stage 1. I'm just happy I'm alive:D and I do have a good attorney.

Sorry to hear that man! How did it happen? Did she hit you from behind?

Anyway, hope you rehab well and recover soon!

Yeah it was a guy getting off work around 0700 am, hit me from behind in a 1972 Impala. The police report says he felt asleep. Lucky me:rolleyes:

Glad you are ok and I hope you sue that guy for everything he has which of course probably isn't much but do your best to destroy his life since he almost destroyed yours!!!

Glad to hear you made it through OK. I hope for your sake that the driver carried insurance, as I'm guessing that getting complete recovery for your damages from someone driving a 1972 chevy might be difficult. Also, talk to your lawyer before posting anything else about the accident, your injuries, etc. (He or she might advise you not to do so).

Sorry to hear about your accident - I hope you're on the road to recovery and are feeling better real soon.

Thanks for the advice, you maybe right about that, I guess that's what happens when you hit your head on the ground flying at 30+mph:eek:

That is my worst nightmare right there. I'm so glad you are okay.

Actually, my worst nightmare has a worse ending so really - I'm SO glad you are okay! I hope you are able to function at full speed before too long.

No worries, I was doing everything right, I guess he just had a long night a work and felt like getting some sleep at my expense:( Seriously people do need to have respect for cyclist tho, I read more and more MV vs. bicyle a lot lately. Take care
