Vineman Coming Up, Sore Throat
If it's not bad yet, I'd personally hit it with TONS of fluids (juices and water), take some vitamin C, and get an extra hour or so of sleep each night. I find that those things usually help me fight things off.

That's what I'll do- just need to drink a lot of fluid!
and then drink some more! *raises her waterbottle*
I'm drinking extra too -- being sure to be fully hydrated for the race!

All,Quick quesiton. Vineman 70.3 is on Sunday (can't wait!), but I came down with a sore throat yesterday. Right now it's not too bad, but you never know if it's going to turn into a full cold, get worse, etc. I've heard going on antibiotics can have adverse effects on performance, so I'm wondering if I should just let it be and hope for the best?
Thx!
Try some Airborne. It might be hocus pocus but for me it has been really excellent hocus pocus. That and just straight tincture of echinacea in some hot tea. I recommend both to ward off a cold. What you have is likely viral and antibiotics won't help at all and they could mess with your guts. And get LOTS of sleep.
