For those in the running community who have kids who will be between 7-15 years of age on 12-31-2007, this post might be of some interest. August 11, 2007 will be the 10th running of the Conway Kids Triathlon. The race has grown each year and we are expecting 400 kids this year...which is our race limit. We expect the race to fill up early so register soon. There will be no race day registration.
This is the largest kids triathlon in this region of the country and is a great way to keep our future generation of runners and triathletes busy and healthy.
Every participant receives a nice goodie bag, excellent t-shirt and a custom finisher's medal.
Two nice bikes, several scooters, cash and other items will be given away. There will be several bouncy castles and other fun stuff. Also there be plenty of hot dogs and other food and drink.
As an added bonus this year, Nickelodeon will be filming at this year's race. Their show Lets just Play is featuring a boy named Kenderick whose goal event is to complete the Kids Triathlon. Kenderick is being training by former Razorback David Bazzel.
