hi and welcome to the site! To be able to run father just takes practice... get out and run! Go a bit slower than you feel you can to give you the energy to make it. And be ok with short walking breaks. You don't have to run the whole thing to have a great experience! Some people recommend walking all the water stations of races.

Everyone's bodies react differently, so you'll have to try it and see what works for you :)

hey kyillee!
thank you =]

you're right, but,i put in my mind that i would run the entire competition,or,a big part of it( something like 8 km xD ).
i want it sooooo much :/
and i have some reasons too xD
so,do you think it's possible that i could run the marathon?

thank you!

It will just depend on your body. Get out there, run, train, and see how it goes! One thing that I've done is walk the water breaks so that I can actually stay hydrated (more important the hotter it is).

Check this out:
jeffgalloway.com and click on "training"
Marathon training programs that include walking breaks...lots of good info, ...mas infelizmente nao no Portugues! (my wife helped me with that!)

Anton has recommended a great site.
Let us know how your race turns out, I wish you the best!

by the way.....just as general culture: A Marathon is always 42Km. You are doing a 10K not a marathon of ten kilometers. :D

Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)

No worries on the wording... we often just say "I'm doing a 10k" or "a 10k run" :)
