Has anyone heard of InfinIT Nutrition?
I think that it's the stuff that you can have custom made for you. Different amounts of flavoring, carbs, protein, amino acids, caffeine, etc. They've really been pushing it lately, but I hadn't heard of it at all until recently. It sounds like a good idea, but I don't think many people have tried it yet. It's going to be hard to get a good idea of how good something is from only a couple opinions, especially when it comes to nutrition since even more so than other things, it varies from person to person whether or not it works well.

Not fast enough.
I have seen a number of reviews that are very strongly in favor of this product over on another tri forum. It is VERY popular there. I'm not sure what they put on the course when that is what is used, since, as Gator said, it is a nutrition that is custom made for each user. I don't know of a place to get it other than from them. My impression of the company (from the other reviews) is that they are trying very hard on the customer service side, so I'd recommend emailing them and seeing what they can tell you :)

I use it. They are very helpful. As far as I know it is only available thru the website. They have different pre made formulations for varying distances etc that you can try or you can make your own concoction. I recommend doing the interview on the website to help guide you and make adjustments from there.
If done properly it eliminates any need for gels, bars and salt tabs.
I concentrate my version in one bottle 1800cals for long rides and IM or use it as suggested for shorter rides and runs. No GI distress and most of the others give me that.
I'd give it a shot.
I use it and love it!
I know the Michael Folan, the guy that runs Infint, I will let him know about your questions and have him address them for you from the company. He should post something later this afternoon hopefully.

Sweet! Thanks Mike.

Cool :) I was just going to send him a message through another tri forum to let him know that there are questions for him over here!

WOW, it does all of that....I am interested for sure.

Bear in mind you need to customize it to your particular needs. Talk to them to help you customize if you need more info.
Hey all. Got about three e-mails about this thread!
Here is the scoop. What we allow you to do is create your own sports drink, meaning that you can adjust the flavor level, the calories per serving, the electrolyte levels and even add protein or caffeine if you choose. So what you end up with is something that tastes the way YOU want, and has all the calories, electrolytes and protein that you need in your drink. Eliminates the need for salt pills gels or food.
Bottom line is that we take a bunch of the guesswork out of nutrition. Just drink and train or race. No more juggling all of the products we all juggle for nutrition. Simplicity.
Also, the stuff taste great even after you have been drinking it for 4 hours and it also goes down no problem when it gets warm. Many products taste OK when they are cold, but not many hold up in the heat over a long period of time.
We are the official product of ULTRAFIT and Mark Allen along with maybe 50 other coaching groups. We have many many of the top Pro's using the product. At IM CDL this year the top 2 men use INFINIT. At IM Lake Placid last year we had 4 of the top 5. Long list of very top people use INFINIT.
We have a full 100% money back guarantee. You not happy, we re-make it no charge. Still not happy, I will give you your $ back. We have over 5000 clients and I have only had to give 1 person $ back in 3 years. We have very very happy customers.
If you all want to try it out I am happy to give you an introductory code for 10$ your first order if that is cool with the board mods. Let me know if that is cool and I will post a code for you to try it out. Any other questions, do not hesitate to post them and I will try and get back here and answer. I will be in Lake Placid next week if anyone wants to stop by the expo.
BTW, I am a 10x IM guy that has been racing since the 80's. Done Kona a couple of times with a PR of 10:14. I know what we go thru out there so that is the reason why we started the company.

Thanks! Would love the opportunity to try the product. It sounds to good to be true, however, if Starbucks can customize my Latte I guess its about time to do the same for sports drinks!
How do we get the code. I, personally would love to try!
Thanks
It sounds like you guys have a good product and stand to really change the market. My question is about what you are serving at the Spirit of Racine half ironman. If the drink is customized to the individual then what are you serving at the race? Are those individual servings available for purchase or do I have to pickup 5lbs of it to find out what it's like?

Thanks things go very well. It is one of those ideas that make sense to almost all athletes that train for endurance events. That along with the product tasting how you want it to makes us successful. We're just glad we were the first. :)
The Racine formulas on course will be the Heat Mix Orange for the bike and the 5K Run formulas for the run. You can find them in the pre-set formulations on the left hand side of the website. The Heat Mix under Triathlon formulas and the 5K under the running pre-sets. What we did was create formulas for certain race conditions, these match what you guys will be doing at Racine.
I have created a discount for this forum to use for 10$ off your first order. Use trifuel2007 at checkout, hit re-calculate and it will be taken off the total. Feel free to pass that discount to any training partners you think might be interested.
On a technical note, we are huge believers in using multiple carbs in our formulas. By mixing the types of carbohydrate you can increase the amount of calories your body absorbs by up to 25%when compared to a maltodextrine drink alone. That is a significant number forTriathletes. You will feel stronger late in your workout or race. This is not just our opinion, there is well established science that proves that oxidisation rates of carbohydrates in increased when you put a combination of simple and complex carbs in a drink.
If you guys have ANY questions please ask. I will check back over the next few days.
Michael
Wow! Thanks for the great response. I know that a number of people in the club I'm in have been asking about it. I'll pass them the link.

I'm doing the Spirit of Racine in a couple weeks, my first HIM and 3rd tri, and this is what they are serving. I've never heard of it and am not sure where to get some, other than their website. Have any of you heard of this stuff or tried it?
