Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)
Sweet man! Good luck! What kind of awesome job do you have that has 50 marathoners?
Congrats it is a great race. I have done it the last two years and nothing is quite like it.
By Company, do you mean company in the business sense or military? My company is also sending me to run in the Marine Corps Marathon so good luck and hope you get a slot.

I work w/ a company called USAA. I believe we're sponsoring it.
So, is it like a live fire exercise? You know, machine guns strafing , mortar rounds exploding left and right, running muddy sloughs, the rope ladders, the wall..
K-rations at the aid stations..
fun stuff like that?
I bet the tattoos are great.

If that's the case, COUNT ME IN!!!
No live fire...but many there have been down that street...It is a humbling experience to run with true heros (regardless of how you feel about the war)...The carbon fiber legs, the hand cranks and wheel chairs, the tattoos in arabic...
The aid stations are well done, the course is great, a mix of hills flats and monuments...and you're never alone!
I'll be there again this year

The voly's and marines are so helpful...
A weird story the first year I ran it (2years ago) cuz I had my biggest happy moment after the race. When I crossed the finish line they were all there cheering me on smiling and screaming every ones number and name. Well, I walked my way down to the end of the line and right there this 1st LT bent down and untied my shoes for me. This is a huge deal coming from an A1C in the Air Force to have an officer untie your shoes. :)
It was a big deal to me at the time I just feel like I had to share how great the Marines are out there...
Man J that made me feel a bit teary and I'm not in (or related to someone in) the service. Just shows how much respect they offer back when we do something like a race, and reminds me how much they deserve for what they do. Thanks.

So my company is sending 50 people to run in the Marine Corps Marathon in October. Of course I threw my name in the hat. Cross your fingers and hope I get picked. Thanks!!!
