I haven't done either, but I might do one of those - probably the Firecracker since its closer for me. Though, it looks like there is no day of race packet pickup, which I really don't like, especially since it doesn't look like a big race so its unnecessary. Staying over the night before, or making the drive twice, does not make me happy. I would rather start driving at 3am than stay over... Also, since there is the kids race afterwards, it will be absolutely forever to wait around for awards... I really liked it at Johan's that there was not much of a wait for awards. I don't know, I'll think about it. I just sent an email off to the info@firecraker.. to check if there's any race day packet pickup.

Ok heard back from the rd and there is race day packet pickup, so I'll probably do the race...

Perhaps I will see you there , but I have not yet made up my mind which race to do yet --Block 58 is closer to me.
Sorry this question is so narrow in its scope, but has anyone out there done either the Block 58 Triathlon in Muskegon, MI or the 53rd Firecracker Triathlon in Benton Harbor, MI? I need a fill-in tri and its between these two --Musekgon is much closer, but its in Muskegon Lake --sounds kinda scary. :eek: How clean is that lake anybody know?
Benton Harbor would be a bit of a drive, but the swim would be in Lake MI which would be cool.
Anybody doing either of those races this year?
