That should be a blast!
Unfortunately, I almost got to see the stage that ended in Germany one year, but ended up not going (and learning as I watched the stage on TV that I would have been a block away). So I'm no help, but definitely find you lucky!

I was there watching at the top of the first KOM in Saisies for that infamous stage 17 last year! It was incredible. You have to get there really early because they shut down the roads hours in advance for the sponsor parade and hoopla. I was there early, walked around the cute little mountain village, got some yummy snacks at the boulangerie and enjoyed myself. It's quite the experience!
As luck would have it, I'll be in France this July, so of course I'm excited about going to see a stage or two of the Tour. I'm wondering if anyone out there has done this and perhaps has any tips?
