Circumference of 650 Wheels? Continential isn't giving this out...
I just checked the manual for my computer (Cateye Astrale 8) and for a 650x23 they reccommend 1938.
Polar manual for S625x recommends 1952 for 650x20C
Doing an actual measurement is always going to be the most accurate method, however 1794 seems too low. Measure again.
C=∏D!
∏=3.1415926535 (that's all I remember offhand)
(I'm such a nerd)

Thanks fellows... I will measure again and probably use 1938 and compare with other competitors after Sunday's race. Thanks again!
Thats for 650x23C. You asked for 650x20C which is 1952.

Alright. I'll use 1952 this Sunday. Thank you. :)
Not to rain on anyone's mathematical parade here, but wouldn't a 20c tire, being smaller than a 23c tire, have a smaller overall circumference?

Hmmm... well I did the 27K course on the weekend but, it came out 28.48K but, the course may have been long so I guess I'm no further ahead. I will keep checking with buddies on rides and see what happens :(

I'm hoping someone can give me the proper wheel circumference for my 650x20C 20-571 Continental Grand Tour 3000 tires b/c I don't think it's correct and i'm getting frustrated. I've emailed Continental a couple of times and they haven't responded.
Right now I'm using 1794 mm (which I measured on the floor) and it's shattering my confidence in that it seems like i'm not going anywhere fast :eek: . Does this sound right for my cyclometer or is another number more appropriate.
thanks!
