Hello:)

I am having some intense pain in my left shoulder. I cannot move my arm forward, to the side, can't reach up my back etc. without a silly amount of pain. I have figured out that if I push on the front part of my shoulder, it is very sore. This has made me think maybe a pinched nerve of some kind.

I took today off from training to let the arm rest. Thing is... I can't even hardly run as this arm can't swing at all without pain.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? I am open to ideas:)

Thanks!

"Intense pain" "Cannot move"
The day off is fine , but if are still having pain...get to the Doctor, chiro, PT, medical professional of your choice....it might be nothing ,but with the words you are using...Yikes!

Go to a Dr. There is a common thing that happens (usually once you turn about 35 but can happen any time) where the bone in your shoulder joint grows and then scrapes along the joint socket and does some damage. You can get a ton of benefit from PT and then, when you are ready, surgery.

Might not be the problem but definitely worth checking out.

Definitely go see your M.D. then go see your Chiropractor.

Does the pain extend past your elbow or is it just limited to your shoulder?

Sounds like impingement or rotator cuff problems. Been there done that. get an MRI & good shoulder ortho.

Scary. Any way to prevent this? Anything in particular cause it?
