Finding a good bike route

Is there such a thing as maps or a website that will help me map out a good bike route, i.e., getting from point A to point B without needing to go across, say, the Tobin Bridge in Boston? I want to ride my bike to work and I suppose I could pour over that atlas and just figure it out, but I don't want any surprises halfway there.

Anyway, if there isn't such a website or series of bike atlases, there should be. :)
