Pre-Race Jitters & Rituals

Don't forget to set two alarms to be sure you're up...and then don't forget that there can, and often will be, surprises despite ritua and preparation. If anything should arise that doesn't go according to plan just smile, and get through it. Good luck on the race!

I always set two alarms as well. This past tri I did on sunday I set my alarm and my wifes, I am lucky I set both because mine went off at 545pm and not AM :(

Besides the two alarms and the triple double checking of the gear that about covers it. Hope your race went well!

Tomorrow's my first tri since 2004 and I'm definitely a little jumpy. I've made my list and checked it twice :) I'm going to go to the race meeting in a few minutes and then for a 10 minute bike ride and a 5 minute swim just to make myself feel a little more comfortable, especially in the rental wetsuit.
What kind of pre-race rituals do you all have to make yourselves feel more relaxed? I've hydrated like crazy today, I'm going to have my usual stuffed shells and one glass of red wine for dinner and my standard breakfast in the a.m. Transitions have been practiced.
Am I forgetting anything? Any other rituals you do before every race to make sure you are all set?
Thanks!
