so i have a race on sunday and have a nice blister on my heel. anybody have suggestions on how to get through the race in as little as pain as possible? i was thinking a gel blister bandage, a layer of sticky tape, and then a layer of waterproof tape, topped off by a sock with vaseline. any thoughts on that idea?

i was in your exact situation, here is what worked for me....im sure i will be crusified by some for this idea but here goes:

POP the blister, yes thats right pop it. Then get NuSkin which is just like you were saying, a gel cover, and cover it. it will still hurt but not as much as popping it on the run or bike will. less chance of infection too.

Your biggest obsticle is keeping it on during the swim. good luck.

dont get bitter, get better

thanks for the advice, i ended up opening the blister and using waterproof medical tape that, of course, came off before the run. luckily i had some vaseline that i slapped on my heel and all went great. no pain and a successful race.
