Well since there is no one single product on the market that provides enough carbs, sugars and electrolytes--I'm combining my own like the rest of the world, but fear that I might be overdosing on one thing and not getting enough of something else.

Every hour I plan on consuming 1 16oz bottle of liquid containing:
1 Scoop Cytomax
1 Scoop Carbo Pro
1 Nuun
1 Sportleg capsule

1 Gel (Gu and/or Clif)

Totals per hour:
Calories: 302
Carbs: 75
Calcium: 168 mg
Sodium: 355mg
Potassium: 150mg
Magnesium: 26.5mg

Temps should be in the low 80s and I should be on the course for just under 8 hours.

Too much sodium? Not enough of something else? Is there any threat of these things going bad or losing effectiveness if premixed?

I usually consume more gels but it´s because I feel nothing boosts my energy back like Gu with caffeine. on a 40K bike I usually have 3 Gu´s

What worries me is if that recipe for hydration tastes good or not. Have you tried that already????

Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)

Taste is fine. I've taken it in shorter races....but this will be my longest race yet and I'm concerned that the cocktail may have too much or too little....

I wish I could load up on caffeine! I've got WPW and too much of it can trigger a heartrate of 250-300bpm (285bpm in the pool last month - had it happened in open water during practice or a race I'd have been proper f'd.)

Check out infinitnutrition.com or .ca
Your concoction looks almost exactly what I created for myself so that i concentrate it down to one bottle for 1800 cals.

I have been using the stuff now for two months and its awesome.
You can buy premade mixes or customize to get higher cals, electrolytes, protein etc.
