Motion sickness from swimming
If you have such a bad time on planes and you have medication there, I would say you should ask your doctor about this.
Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)
Yeah I would definately talk to the doc when you get a chance. I have personally never heard of that.
Maybe I will try that... it doesn't happen all the time and if it does happen it is after about 500 meters or so. Who knows!!
I have the same problem. It seems the more I swim, the more it seems to decrese the motion sickness.
Good luck
Ok, so i had my first open water tri yesterday. The swim... ugh. I didn't think it would ever end. I couldn't get into a rhythm and right off the start i got a mouth full of lake water. Since i couldn't see my hand in front of my face in the water and every time i looked up i saw the waves in the lake and i was just so disoriented. I finally got into some sort of rhythm on the back stretch when it was time to get out of the water but overall not a good time for me :-) I did however mange to bike and run really well and got 5th in my age division. (25-29). I have another open water swim in two weeks. Hopefully I will do better in that one!!!

Ok, so i know this may sound weird but I seem to be getting motion sickness when i am in the pool. I have really bad motion sickness and even have to take prescription medication when i fly, so i don't loose 20 pounds... if you know what i mean. Anyways, I have noticed when there are people swimming with me and I am swimming for a long time, i seem to get that sick feeling. Its the rocking feeling of the water pushing me everywhere. Probably doesn't help that even the jets in the pool blow me sideways when i swim by, so its easy for me to get tossed around. Anybody else have this problem and know of any solutions?????
