Dizziness after swimming
I've experienced this too. The cure for me is to kick really hard the last 100 meters or so. This moves blood back into your legs and in my case has eliminated the dizzies. Give it a try.

I guess I never put the two together. You may be on to something here. I'll know more this weekend. I'm brewing a bitter, Abby, and a IPA on Saturday. I'll make a mental note to check for the dizzies. Cheers!
Kicking the last 100 meters has helped me,too. Do you breath every cycle or bi-lateral breath? In training I bilat but breath every cycle in races...that seemed to help too.

I have been having problems because everytime that I get out of the water I feel like I am going to fall over because I get so dizzy. During training it is no big deal because it only lasts for a minute or two and I can wait till it passes, but with races now starting up, it tends to be a problem. It makes it hard to run from the water to the bike and I am scared to get on my bike when I am so dizzy, but I hate to wait till it passes because that is wasted time. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how I can fix it. I think it is maybe because of the water splashing in my inner ear, so I was thinking about getting a set of swimmers earplugs but that is only a guess as to what is going on. Any advice would be appreciated.
