On my ride home from work today an old man driving a pickup truck passes me. He is leaning over the passenger seat yelling and waving his arms with the passenger window open. I can't figure out what he is trying to tell me. Pretty soon I pick up a bike trail and follow it to a stop light where my friend in the pickup truck is stopped. His passenger window is rolled up. I lean over and ask him what he had to say to me. With the window rolled up he starts yelling and waving his arms again. I can't understand what he is trying to communicate to me or why he won't roll his window back down to tell me. The light turns and I pedal off. As he passes me he rolls down his window and starts yelling and gesticulating again, making no more sense than before. Very strange.

Hey give him a break he was just trying to convey how cool Elite Magnus' are. :)

That or he's mad he can't get the same amount of training time in because he's got only so many bikers to yell at during the day.

Stay safe.

I had a guy do that to me.
There is an exit lane to 27th street from HWY 97 coming into Vernon from the north.
I was riding southwards and going straight on. He passed me, intending to then pull off but didn't reckon that I was going 35kph and his maneuver became a severe right turn in front of me lest he overshoot the exit.
Of course he blamed me, shaking his fists and gesticulating rudely, if you know what I mean. heh.

I stopped and doubled back. He pulled over and exited his truck as I pulled up on my bike. He looked like he wanted to fight but when I dismounted, 6'3" tall, 240lbs, he changed his tune.
I'm kinda glad since dancing in bike shoes on asphalt is like fighting on ice skates, not graceful and certain to involve falling down.

Sadly he had two little girls in his cab, about 6 and 8 yrs old. I pointed out that he wasn't setting a good example and he just jumped in his truck and took off.

Anyway, I'm glad your episode ended harmlessly too.

You ARE the Prince of Clydes after all. I'm not surprised that he changed his tune, but man that is hilarious! I would have loved to see that.
