Proud Mama
It's great isn't it. Congrats to him!....and you. Careful cause it is catchy. My son, Andy is now 12 yrs old and has done 3 "kids of steel" tris and three 10km (mi) races slowly improving his time now that he sees he can run. Bugger did a 10km last weekend with me in 48min!! I won't be able to keep up with him soon. Once they see they can do it they'll take off like a shot. Good on ya both!

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
That's fantastic and proud you should be. It's great to see youth races popping up more and more around the country.
Congrats to your son and way to go mom for setting such a fine example.
Kudos!!! :)

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.

Thanks guys. It's really great to watch these kids train and race. My son started tagging along on one of my group rides - when I upgraded my bike he got the old one. He loves it and very soon I'll be struggling to keep up with him. Hopefully one day we can rce together - now if only I could get my other two interested........

My 15 year old son did his first triathlon yesterday with 3 other friends (a first for all of them). It was a youth tri here in Georgia and they all did great! I volunteered at the race, and it was awesome to see sooo many kids racing and their faces when they crossed the line.......and I'm very happy to say, that my son and his friends are already planning their next race - once that bug bites......
