How often do you race the IM?

I'm feeling sooo good in my training with IMA 5 weeks out. I wish I could feel this great all the time! Anyway, it got me wondering: How often do you IM'ers race the IM? My last one was in 2005, so it seems like I'm on the two-year plan. What about you all?

I'm at every 2 years right now, though had one planned for last year before injury. Next year is going to be HIMs and below.

I know it may be premature to think of doing another IM without having yet completed my first, IMWI 07, but I'll be hittin' the keyboard for IMLP 08, 7/23.

As you mentioned Star, training's going sooo good I just want to keep it rollin.

I'll have to remember to come back and read this Sept 10! :D

I did IMWI last year and training for it again this year - won't decide on next year until after the race this year - If I do one in 08 it'll be IMWI. I may just find myself standing in line on the 10'th. :)

I've done one a year (2005, 2006, and will later this year). But next year I'm looking to do olympics, half IM, and maybe 101 to get a bit more speed in for a year.

Bryan,

With your strong bike you ever thought of road racing the bike only?

Life is so full of things to do and be and try...
My last was 2004 this year I have IMLP and The Double.
Won't do IM again until 2009...I'll age up then (55-59)
Next year I'd like to focus on Du's...from sprint to long course.
Might try some solo AR.

No, I never have even been in a cylcling race! Next year, I will do the Tour de Tuscon, which looks like a really fun event! I just need to borrow a road bike, I don't feel like spending more $ on bikes for the near future :).

Never. :D Maybe next year. Maybe.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

One IM a year is enough if you race it hard. More than that and I feel you could really cook yourself.
