Does work drag for you...

when you're counting down the hours, minutes, and seconds until you clock out or log off for the day in order to get some training in?

After my first tri, I've been addicted to training. Luckily I'm not over training myself to exhaustion. But I just find my days at work dragging.

Sometimes the day can get a bit long, but I really like what I do. Then there is the benefit of my flexible hours... and sometimes I'll just leave and go get a run in and then come back and work more.

I'll also get up and stretch every hour or so, just for a second (or at least I try to). Or walk to refill a water bottle, making sure I stay hydrated to get the most out of my workouts. Little things, that make me feeling I'm getting tri benefits even while I'm working :)

I hear ya on the addition part though.... sorry it doesn't get much better! ;)

Where I work now some times I get a lunch run in which isn't bad cuz it breaks it up.

I hear ya. My last day is May 30th!

I am an Elementary PE teacher, so my job is pretty fun, but very busy. When spring rolls around in Minnesota and the trails and roads open up, I get real anxious to run or bike after work.

I acannot agree with you more. It's a pain sitting here and working, that's why I am on trifuel. The reason I chose the place I work is SO that I could bike commute back and forth each day. Dunno what I'd do without the bike everyday. Sometimes I go out at lunch for a run cause I can't take the mundain crap of work, also it clears the hed. Here, here for the training!!

Just for the record, Anton and Goggles (love that name....Fred HA!) I am jealous of you guys. I live with a teacher and envy my wife grrrrrr.

Being a teacher does indeed have its benefits. I am not working at all this summer, so I get to pretend I am a pro triathlete for 10 weeks.

I wouldn't say work overall drags, but certain class periods can last seemingly forever.

Lately, very much so. I'd love to be able to get in a mid-day run or bike, but without regular shower facilities here it'll be iffy with the Texas summer coming up.

The days I work at home...those are nice though :)

Ditto with Libor, trifuel helps get through the slow parts of the day.

Yeah telecommuting can be the best! Last time I did that I think there was a bit over 2.5 hours of running and a massage somewhere in there! :)

I'm pretty lucky in the sense that I usually get to use the treadmill, stationary bike and lift weights while I'm at work. The down side is that people occasionally ask me to go inside someplace that is on fire. then again, that's exciting, too, so it's not really a down side.

That must be why I love my job.

Work really drags when the Trifuel site is down!

All too true.

Work is also great for two other things: stretching and ensuring you have enough $$$ to keep yourself in this sport ;)

I'm lovin' training right now, so work is draggin'... I guess that's why it's called work. I don't have it too bad though, I get in bike rides before work and runs at lunch, but it still kills me when I look out the window and see someone running, damn that could be me.

Of course it helps too, checking in here during the day, makes work seem less intrusive.

My work days are very long, shortest is 13.5hrs and longest is 28hrs. So unless there is lightening or hail I always commute to work on my bike.

At least that way I feel like I got in some training. When I get restless I stretch or grab something I can use to strength my wrists with (I figure the details matter).

But I certainly wish we lived in a world where training could come before work on the priority list.

I don't have to get to work until 10-10:30 am so I have some time in the morning to train, and I can train after work now too.

Work does drag but thankfully there is trifuel to pass the time.

Time to hydrate and stretch now :D

Same here. Also, I love doing some yoga in my cubicle. It gets me weird looks, but I don't care. The only thing I'm missing is a yoga mat.
