Best Way To Gel Up?
The gel flasks have lines on them to mark a serving...I'm always off, by a bit too much...Single serving bags could be a mess...you might have to double bag and of course a plastic bag isn't going to be as durable as the single serving packets... Shop around...I've bought boxes of gels at about the same cost a the bulk packet...

The flasks work okay - but I stick to the single serve gel packets - mainly cuz if you lose the flask during a race - that means either going back for it or losing the majority of your nutrition. It is easy to carry an extra gel packet if drop one or whatever.

I prefer the flasks and haven't had any problems with them. I like being able to "gel up" with smaller gulps more frequent, rather than take the whole packet at once. If I don't have the jugs, I actually put the single serves in a flask.

looks interesting, have you tried it? any testimonials?

I have been using hammer gels during the bike and run of my olympic tri's with good success. Being the frugal triathlete, I've noticed the gels come cheaper per oz. in bottles of 25 servings as opposed to single serving pouches. How do you administer the gels bought in bulk one serving at a time? I know there are the five serving flasks, so do you guesstimate 1/5 of a bottle or is there some way to bag them up single serving style?
