i am doing the benton harbor 1/2

the running is obviously good for me, and the biking isn't too bad. Swimming isn't too tiring, but i have awful form so i go really slow

The steelhead race is going to attract a lot of top athletes from the area trying to qualify for the world championship. Since this is your first swim, and I am assuming you just want to finish the race, I strongly recommend you start towards the back and on the outside. For your first Tri, especially since it is a HIM, you don't want to go out too hard trying to keep up with the crowd. Also if you haven't done an event like this it is going to be even tougher swimming after you get kicked in the face a couple times. =)
