Bike Fit - Paranoid?
I recommend lowering your seat by about 1 cm, and maybe taking one of your spacers and lowering your handle bars.

I forgot to mention that in the lighter pic, I'm actually standing on the pedals and not seated - probably 4 inches or so off the seat..
With that in mind, still think lowering the seat?
Thanks for the reply.

This is no way to assess fit, but if you post 2 pictures, centered on your seat in riding position, one with your carnks horizontal (closest foot forward) the other with the cranks vertical (closest foot down) we could see whats going on.
Your arms do look like they are extended too far (do you get back pain?), but because of your leg position I cant tell if your seat is too far back (assuming you are centered on it) or if your stem is too long. That being said, there is probably no need to worry. You may need to tweak your fit, but the frame is probably a good size (anybody 6'5" will make their bike look like it has 650 c wheels)
Yeah, I should get it professionally fit. I don't get back pains yet but I haven't put that many miles on it yet either.
Thx,

I am absolutely not an expert, but I do not think that bike is too small.
As others have said, get a proper fit done. A fitter can move the seat back & forth on the rails, raise & lower the handlebars and swap out the stem for something shorter or longer to get you to a good position.
1) You ARE a big lad!
2) I don't think the bike is too small.
3) Get Fit by a pro...they will get you dialed in.
4) If you were any bigger you'd be buying from Zinn!

Zinn is great, but your hometown of Portland has many really good custom builders (if you ever want to go that route):

This biggest things that jump out to me are that you look a little stretched in the arms, and it's hard to tell if I dropped a plumb bob from your knee if it'd hit the crankshaft, or be behind it.
Definately 2nd, 3rd, whatever the professional fit. They'll also know a lot more than most of us here ;)

So I don't know much about how a bike should fit other than what I've read on the net and what the salesman showed me. Basically the salesman put me on the bike, adjusted the seat and told me how to sit and asked if I could see the front hub/axle. I couldn't see it, which was the correct answer.
So one day, I ride by a large window and to me, I look too big for the bike. And the scary thing is, it's a 63cm bike; they don't come much bigger. I always thought I was 6'4" but I'm more like 6'5".
So out of paranoia, I had my 6 year old daughter take some pictures of me on my bike so I could study them for hours and try to convince myself that I'm the right size. Problem is, I haven't convinced myself of that. My wife says I'm crazy so I'm asking you guys for an honest opinion.
Here are two pics of me on my bike. Based on these pictures, what is your opinion of how the bike fits me?
