2008 Specialized!
Here it is...
I wondered that too.
On another forum it mentioned that this bike was raced at wildflower. I guess it was all black with no stickers saying that it was a specialized, but used the star wheel like you see on the front. I guess a test run of sorts.
nice handlebars... That's a pretty hot bike!

Man, looking good! I really disliked the looks of their older transition model, no offense to any owners, just personal preference. I wonder how much it will cost?
that is easily one of the slickest tri bikes I've seen. I still am not sure how I feel about the integrated seat post, but can't deny how it looks.
"If your not going to win, make the fellow in front of you break a record."
Anyone notice there is no back brake? Word is that it is housed on the inside of the frame somehow. The front brake is also newly designed as well. The other thing that I learned is that they will be shipping with their new carbon crank.
Now let's see if Specialized has tri geometry nailed yet. I might LOOK cool, but will it handle well and all that good stuff?
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
My next bike!!!! Hope this works.

Rumour has it Chris Mc Cormack has signed with specialized
So will this bike be in the same league as the Cervelo P3c (OR at least P2c) or Kuota Kalibur?, I currently have a Transition Pro 2007 but would want to upgrade to something better by the end of this year. My main distance will be mainly OD with some 70.3 in my next year plan.
for some reason I couldnt see any of the pics posted earlier, so I have attached this link instead:

I've heard reports that it's the most aero bike ever put in the wind tunnel. (i.e., better than the P3). A lot of people think it's ugly, but I think it looks pretty cool. It'll be a big upgrade from a 2007 transition.

Not fast enough.
Kind of reminds me of an Orbea in terms of appearance. Looks like a nice ride!

oh man, is the comp really only in that yellow? I guess when I get one I will have to upgrade to the expert...

I've been hearing for several months that Specialized was going to use the carbon technology from the Tarmac (IMO, one the best road bikes out there) for a new model of the Transition, and was pretty excited to see it. Yesterday I got a hold of one of the new brochures for '08 and it was even better than I had expected (understatement). The thing looks like a swoopier version of a P3 and is apparently the most aero bike ever put into a wind tunnel.
They're doing it in three regular levels (105, Ultegra, and DA) plus two S-Works models (Gerolsteiner and Quickstep). They even made their own new crankset for the thing (FACT carbon like the forks they use now) that are supposedly lighter and stiffer than any other crank on the market. They made their own brakes for the bike, too (under the BB for the rear, center-pull for the front). I don't think there are any pics online yet, but they're using them in the Giro right now and I'll bet the pics will be released soon. No prices yet, but I'm sure they won't come cheap. This will probably be the best tri bike available next year in case any of you are looking out for a new high-end bike for next season.
I had to let you guys know....I was pretty excited when I saw it yesterday and wanted to share. If I see any pics online, I'll post a link, but until then I don't have a scanner in my dump of a college house in the student ghetto, so you'll just have to take my word for it about how it looks on paper.
