Great report! Awesome job gutting it out on the finish - too bad that guy you passed couldn't be a good sport about it.
What photo are you referring to here?

That would be a series of photos taken by a friend at the finish. Currently trying to figure out what's happened, as I was initially listed as 2nd by the chip timing, then after the analysis of the results was changed to 3rd. It's mainly for my own curiosity as to how exactly the timing system works (although admittedly I probably never would have actually written an email if the guy hadn't returned a "good race" comment with what he said).

Great job. Sounds like just a bad case of sour grapes from the other finisher and you conducted yourself in a way that lets you hold your head high. That's more important than 2nd vs. 3rd anyway.

Ran my first race of the season yesterday. Overall it went really well. I also ended up with a personal best for the course. The race report can be found here.
