Getting Back To Running Weight

Leading up to Boston, I tapered rather extensively, because I was running with a sore injury. I watched what I ate, and worked alot on core work.
I ran Boston, then returned to the Orthopedist, and have an MRI scheduled. He said no running for 2-4 weeks, but I can swim, use the elliptical, and bike. So I've worked alot on my core strength (something I've neglected a long time) and got on the elliptical for about an 60-90 mins per day. Going totally on feel, until I have the MRI.
In the process, I haven't really gained any weight, but my stomach looks like I've been doing alot of core work (good thing), but I don't feel as lean as I do when I'm running regularly.
Can I get my normal weight back, by using the elliptical, and cycling, and swimming?
Thanks!

you said you haven't really gained any weight, yet you want to get back to your normal weight? That makes no sense at all. swim and ride.

Maybe alowrun means "body composition" rather than weight; am I right? In that case, the answer is simple. Wait until you can run again, and return to your normal running routine. There's no way to make a runner's body except running. So just chill out, rest up, and when you come back, do what you did before. Your body will return.

Yea, body composition is more like it.
Sorry for the confusion.
I'm working on the elliptical for a while, feeling better.
Thanks for the input all!
