Hey Yall,

Anybody have any experience with running an SRAM 1070 cassette with a Dura Ace chain and derauillers?

I've recently purchased a couple cassettes on e-Bay, and I'm ready to slap them on my racing wheelsets. Since I have the 9sp wheels, I know that I can run the SRAM cassettes, I just need to spend a couple of hours on the road to get the feel of them.

Anybody have any problems with this setup?

I have the same setup right now, just with an Ultegra chain. The SRAM cassette has a wide space between 2 teeth on each of the lower cogs (it looks like a tooth is missing in the same spot on the 13-17 cogs). Supposedly this makes shifting easier. Anyway, I'm getting some weird "chatter" from the chain/cog/derailleur while I'm in the big ring and 13-14 (but not the 12 or 15 and larger) cogs.

2 things I can think of right now: 1) derailleur fine tuning issue. I think this is is unlikely given how many times I've tried to tune it and b/c the chain shifts fine in all gears and sounds fine everywhere else. 2) poor compatibility between the Shimano chain and SRAM cogset--even though SRAM advertises full compatibility. I picked up a SRAM 1070 chain this week and will give it a shot over the weekend. I'll let you know if that solves the problem.

If anyone else has other ideas--let me know.
