I'm a new swimmer, and when I get out of the pool and start to bike or run my stomach usually hurts a lot. I know I am swallowing some water and alot of air during the swim, and then my stomach hurts, especially when my abs are tight against my stomach (like inhaling). Anyone else have this problem, or any advice?
Thanks

Where is the pain? In your sternum?

Let me guess, after swimming aside form the pain (which is likely bloating) you have to pass wind, frequently, especially if you run.
If this is the case you are swallowing some of the excess air you havebreathed in. Practice taking smaller breaths and start exhaling as soon as your head goes back in the water, the goal being to have it completely exhaled by the time you turn your head to breathe again.
