I purchased a Cervelo P2C a few months ago and I was surprised that the set of wheels it came with, Easton Vista, retail for $270 which is less than 10% of the cost of the bike.
Now I am ready to get some race wheels. The brands I am looking at are HED, ZIPP, and BlackWell Research. ZIPP seems to be the leader since I the them on so many pro bikes in the tri magazines.
Searching online I can get into ZIPP for about $2100, BR for $1500, and HED for about $1200. I am currently inclined to get HED due to cost.
Which wheels from HED should I get ? Alps, Stinger, JET ? Should I just get ZIPP wheels because they make a big difference and the cost compensates ?
The decision of getting the Cervelo P2C, which I love, was based on the great information I got from the forum. All recommendations and opinions are welcome.
