I love eBay
isn't it illegal to mail those? ;)
You can get them shipped via ground, not air. I guess they think they are bombs if they are on planes, but if they are on trains they are just CO2 cartridges.

I'm just the recipient! ;)
I would assume the pressure differential at 30,000' is enough to pop the cartridge?
Either way, USPS, so they came on a truck. Now go get your cheapo CO2 cartridges!

Huh... USPS and UPS must have different rules... when shipping my bike (ground) they checked to be sure no CO2 was with it.

Here's my baby, taking me out onto Lap 3 of the Ironman Arizona course yesterday.
[EDIT: wrong thread ... whoops]
Nice pic! Wrong thread? :p
Yep ... guess that's what happens when you have too many tabs open and don't take enough care to read their titles.

I had 2 CO2 tanks shipped to me from UPS, last august so maybe rules have changed since then, but they were shipped ground with UPS

I woulda thought the same thing, but (by accident) I left a couple of them in my bike box on the flight back from California (after CA 70.3) and they remained intact. Don't tell TSA!

Or it just depends who you talk to ;) My bike was packed at a UPS store at the end of June and they actually asked if I had any of those and made me remove them (yup, ground shipping). Oh well... I flatted but was with a friend with a pump and it turned out ok!
