I purchased the 606s a few weeks ago, i noticed the same filling. the trick is to not exert to much force that you move the filler make sure the valve extender is being pushed straight in line with the hole. I rode them last week into the wind they are so fast, so smooth , cant even feel the bumps on the road. ENJOY!

I asked zipp and they told me it was leftover from making the rim. They said that I could pull it out with some neddle nose pliars.

I just purchased a new pair of Zipp 606's. I was looking at them today and I tried to push the valve extender through them and there is some "stuff" in the way. This is the first pair of aero wheels that I have ownedso this may be a very stupid question, but what is this stuff that is inside the carbon section of the wheel? Looks like it is just plastic filler. Do I just push through this stuff to get the valve and the extender through? I imagine that I do, but just wondering what this is.
