Cool thanks for the info brotha... I will fly in on Thursday evening so any time friday or saturday. Maybe we can meet up at the expo at like 1 or something. That will give me time to swim in the morning, drive the bike course and check in. That will be a nice trifuel photo op and we can catch some lunch or something...

In regards to riding the course, all you really need to do is the section from Transition out to the end of McDowell/start of the BeeLine. The BeeLine is just long, mostly straight, with the gradual climb. If anyone has a car, you can drive out there and see the lay of the land. The more techinical area around Tempe/Scottsdale requires your attention and is worth getting a feel for, botht he turns and the pavement quality.

Monti's is directly across the street from Transition at the corner of Mill Ave and Rio Salado, you can't miss it :).

I'm bringing my mother down as well, a multiple Ironman cometitor and previous world record holder in Kona for women 40-45 back in '86 and '86! You want to hear stories about the early days of Ironman come by and say hi!

Doesn't having really fast parents count as "blood doping"? ;-) But in all seriousness, your mom's awesome, Bryan. It's so cool having an inspiration like that in your family. My mom is now a two-time grandmother, and still cranking out sub-four-hour marathons. She recently ran a jaw-dropping 3:46! How's that for a grannie?

Dude, that awesome! My Mom is 64 and ran a 4:24 at Rock and Roll Marathon this Jan! She did her last IM at IMFL in 1999 in 12:50!

OK, we need a new thread for this. My suggestion is to plan on scheduling all of us hooking upi at one of the mandatory events. I think package pick up or gear drop off will be best as everyone will have arrived and be in one place. I also want to provide all of you with my contact info:
