What are the differences? I live in Boston and the water is a little cold. I never used either I like to go "bare" what are your thoughts on the 2? I like the looks of the Speed Suits. The Wet Suit looks like a little much?

Night vs. Day. A speedsuit is a thin outer garment you wear in non-wet suit races that provides some hydrodynmaic advantage over traditional tri racing suits. They are awesome for warm water races as they really slip through the water. See Norman Stadlers 2006 IM swim time. Wet suits are faster overall due to their superior hydrodynamic and bouyency and should always be used when the rules permit if you want to be as quick as possible. So you would only opt for the speedsuit if wet suits were not allowed.

get a wetsuit no doubt. I have never raced a race that doesn't allow wetsuits, then again I live in CA where the water never gets warm enough to prohibit them.

I'm glad I didn't buy that speed suit.
