Hey

Welcome. Many of us were in a similar position with swimming when we started. Search some old threads on this site for some great advice. Swimming becomes no big deal with time. Swimming fast on the other hand can be a different story.

Liek gfd said, the swim just takes time. Best of luck with it, and welcome to the site!

Ran CC and track in highschool.
Kind of weird because in the fall I ran 5k and in the spring I was running 400m. It was all fun. Junior year of highschool I splurged and bought a Felt 65. I fell in love with cycling.
Now I am a freshman in college looking at triathlons and I know I can easily do sprints and be competitive.....IF....I did not have to swim.
All the times I have been in the pool have been with friends and recreational fun. Never swam laps or anything. So, once I can convince myself that swimming is no biggie then I will start competing.
