So new, so much to do
Welcome, Paul!
I'm in the same boat you are. I'm signed up for a sprint in July and just plugging along with the training.
If I can assist in any way or if you just need some 'beginner support' just let me know.
You guys will do great! Lots of info here... so just ask away as you have questions.

Thanks! I will have a lot of questions. I may also need some motivation at times.
I'm still trying to get a handle on this site, as far as things like updating the logs and such. I finally just got updating some of my personal information for all to see.
Hi... I like you am going to compete in my first tri in April. Less than a month away!! My training is going pretty good. I have one question though... I am currently training for a mini marathon as well, so I don't get as much time on the bike or the swim as I would like. I am training hard for the mini (which is in the beginning of May) so I am not doing any bricks. After the mini i can concentrate on all three sports again. Should I switch my schedule up a bit and do a few bricks before then or should i be ok since it is just a sprint distance.
Good Luck in you TRI!
It’s nice to hear from other beginners as well. Thanks for the good wishes and GOOD LUCK to you as well.
As far as your ‘brick’ question, I am going to have to defer to the others here.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you’re doing.
I’m sure that we can all inspire and assist each other.

Hi everyone!
I'm new. I want to do a triathlon this August - a sprint.
I really want to do this and I have been training - running and biking. I realize that I have to get to a pool, but I don't belong to the local Y. I will figure something out.
At any rate... I just wanted to introduce myself and I hope that I can get some valuable information AND support from everyone.
Thanks!
Paul
