hey all

i was doing a TT the other day and ran over a stick. at the time i thought nothing of it. i now notice that the stick flew up and put a cut in the surface of the disk about half a cm long

my question is does this hurt the strength and structure of the disk?

TSA tore apart my bike box last year on the way to Collegiate Nationals and put a small cut in my disc about a half inch long. They wouldn't pay for it, either. But I've raced it probably ten or fifteen times since and haven't had any issues. If the cut grows at all I'd buy a new disc, but I'd say that you're safe with the wheel for now. I'm going on a year now with the cut in my disc (a$$holes), but thankfully it's been fine so far.
